Marina Abramovic is known as a Serbian performance artist based in New York. She performed a lot of famous artworks which impressed audiences for many years by her true tone on the stage. This is also a reason that she is called “grandmother of performance art”. Abramovic’s works explored the relationship between performers and audiences. the limits of the body and the possibilities of the mind. She also pioneered a new notion of identity by bringing in the participation of observers, focusing on “confronting pain, blood, and physical limits of the body”. There are some artworks she engaged: Rhythm 10 (1973), Rhythm 2 (1974), Rhythm 0 (1974), Cleaning The Mirror (1995), Seven Easy Pieces (2005) and so on. For me, she deserves the love from everybody who is interested in performance art and art in general. Through her work I search in the Internet, I see her emotion and face mix together to express the character for the work. I remember a photo of a scorpion on her face. She still keeps her calm face which it now seldom sees among youngster. They will express their fear in their face. However, I like one pic of her when she acts or teaches how to mix the artist mind and character into one. If the artists want to express the spirit of the character, they need to sensitize themselves into characters. It will create a successful artwork.
